Our role is to create a set of policies that will influence and guide all future planning and development in Shurdington. We are engaging with residents, developers, and many stakeholders to shape the future of our local area. The NDP process is designed to be transparent, efficient, and inclusive. We engage our community throughout each stage. We welcome your ideas and input.

Defining our Community Area.
Defining and agreeing what is considered as being within Shurdington, and why.
Public Consultation
Community engagement period allowing residents and stakeholders to review and comment on initial proposals.
Assessment
Technical review by planning experts and legal advisors ensuring policy compliance and appropriate community feedback.
Decision
Once the examiner and principal authority have agreed then the The NDP is put to the electorate and a decision is made. If succesful, the NDP becomes legally binding.
Implementation
Seeking to ensure that the policies the community have chosen and defined are being implemented by developers and other community and government organisations.
Key Considerations

Assessing how developments affect local infrastructure, services, and quality of life for existing residents.
Environmental Factors
Evaluating environmental impact, sustainability measures, and compliance with conservation requirements.
